sash & door
entry / storm doors
white oak | fumed, varnish
doug fir | paint, bronze screen
This solid oak door replaced the original (circa 1920s) oak veneer door. Hand carved egg & dart bolection mouldings retain custom leaded glass panels.

The 6/4 storm door has bronze screens and a full mortised lockset (including deadbolt!) Screen frames are retained by screw cams, so they can be swapped seasonally for matching glass panels.
All hardware from Emtek.

Glazing by Aaron Latham in Ypsilanti, MI.
entry door
36" x 80" x 1-7/8"
white oak | fumed, varnish
Traditional four-panel door, solid white oak fumed with ammonia.

The mortise lockset (circa 1860s) is contemporaneous with the adjacent farmhouse (built in 1863)—albeit slightly oversize for the relatively narrow stiles and lock rail.

Solid brass knobs, hinges and sweep.
